Students learn better if taught by teachers who know their abilities well, so we hope the initiative helps reduce teachers' turnover rate and helps attract more teachers to teach in rural areas. We hope that students can receive love from a teacher after spending time with this teacher for years.

The first 19 members of TinderSpark each received a letter from their students or the students’ parents (click to see more). Meanwhile, around 30 new members joined the club.

The founders and leaders of TinderSpark made a comprehensive survey (click to see more) for teachers, students, and family members of the students in Dabie Mountain area (in Jinzhai County, Lu’an City, Anhui Province). Note: because of the limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot go there in person. Members from China Council of Lion Clubs brought our printed-out versions of survey questions to the Dabie Mountains and brought back the results for us. We collected and analyzed those data afterwards.

The Middle-school Division organized a book donation event (Click to see more) that motivated all students in Shanghai Starriver Bilingual School to donate over 28000 books.
We went to Dabie Mountains to help categorize the books donated in March, discuss the Teacher Retention Initiative, and give handicraft lessons to 11 kids in Menshan Primary School. Click to see our photos and stories.
We raised 580.7 RMB on the 2023 SSBS High-school Festival

We attended the 2024 SSBS High-School Festival and raised 136 RMB.
We attended the school’s poster exhibition about different historical period. The posters from our club introduces John Dewey, Johann Friedrich Herbart, and the relationship between education and the Industrial Revolution.
